You work with current analytics and AI tools, identify trends, and translate data into effective communication for social media, marketing, and digital platforms.

Our study model.

A bachelor's degree at SPARKS is divided into 30 individual modules, which you take one after the other. This allows you to concentrate on one topic for four weeks while still having time for a job. Each module consists of three weeks of self-study (interrupted by virtual classrooms), a few days of attendance, and enough time to prepare for the exam (or practical work) in the last week.

Artificial intelligence is revolutionising media planning, campaign management, and data analysis. In the Media & Data program at SPARKS, you learn how to use AI-driven analytics tools, predictive modelling, and automated reporting to develop data-based media strategies. As SPARKS is closely connected with the communications industry, you will always learn with the tools that media companies and agencies actually use today.

Data Science

In the Media & Data program at SPARKS University, you’ll learn to think about media and data holistically. The modular curriculum allows you to study flexibly online while still engaging in regular in-person interaction: three weeks of self-study alternate with intensive on-campus sessions in Munich’s Werksviertel - the ideal combination for working professionals. Over 30 four-week modules, you’ll gain expertise in data analysis, digital marketing, media planning, AI fundamentals, performance optimization, and UX research - always using real-world case studies and the latest industry tools. Your program concludes with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and 210 ECTS credits - a state-recognized degree that paves the way for your entry into the digital communications industry.

With a degree in Media & Data, you’ll be prepared for a wide range of career paths in the digital economy. As a media strategist, you’ll plan campaigns across all relevant channels; as a performance marketer, you’ll optimize initiatives based on data; and as a UX researcher, you’ll improve digital products from the user’s perspective. ¹Our university is currently undergoing the state recognition process. Applications for state recognition of the university and accreditation of the degree programmes have been submitted to the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts and the Science Council. We expect the process to be completed by mid-2026.
