Do you think visually and want to design for brands and media? The Design & Arts program helps you turn ideas into powerful visual concepts – for digital and analogue platforms.
You work with current design tools, combine aesthetics with strategy, and create content that makes an impact. Whether branding, content creation, or visual communication: you learn to develop creative solutions that stand out and deliver results.

Our study model.

A bachelor's degree at SPARKS is divided into 30 individual modules, which you take one after the other. This allows you to concentrate on one topic for four weeks while still having time for a job. Each module consists of three weeks of self-study (interrupted by virtual classrooms), a few days of attendance, and enough time to prepare for the exam (or practical work) in the last week.

AI

Artificial intelligence has long been an integral part of creative design processes. In the Design & Arts program at SPARKS, you learn how to translate AI-generated images into powerful visual concepts as a prompt artist and use AI as a tool in your creative work. Practice-oriented and with a direct connection to the industry, you will always be up to date with the latest tools.

Marketing

Visual marketing decides attention, trust, and purchase in fractions of a second. The Design & Arts program at SPARKS teaches you how to make brands tangible through considered branding, cross-channel visual design, and impactful campaign concepts. You develop an aesthetic sensibility and an understanding of how design sells, conveys messages, and builds lasting brand worlds.

What you can do after completing your Design & Arts degree

After completing your Design & Arts degree, many doors will be open to you. You can start your career as a graphic designer, brand designer, art director, or UI/UX designer at agencies, design studios, or companies. Many graduates also begin as freelancers or start their own creative studio. If you want to delve even deeper, you can follow up your bachelor’s degree with a master’s in Design or a related field. Thanks to our close ties to the industry, you’ll work with AI tools from the very beginning - tools that will keep you relevant in the job market for years to come. Applications for state recognition of the university and accreditation of the degree programmes have been submitted to the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts and the Science Council. We expect the process to be completed by mid-2026.
