Notarised: the founding of SPARKS.

Sparks fly in the austere offices of notaries Schemmann Ludewig in Sonnenstraße, Munich, as the articles of association for Sparks University of Applied Sciences GmbH are signed.

Four shareholders come together to found the first university entirely focused on the communications industry. Among them is the Serviceplan Group, Europe’s largest and most creative independent agency network, and Dr. Kai Fehse, a managing director who understands both the craft and the science of communication. The agreement also includes secured funding for the economically challenging first few years of a university.

Of course, the founding act is properly celebrated — with coffee and croissants from the bakery next door.
